Driver Announcement - Henry Howarth
We are pleased to announce Henry Howarth will be running with the team again this year!
Henry is a sixteen year old aspiring racing driver who made his debut in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship at the end of last season. This year he will take the next step up into the BRSCC Airtec Motorsport ST240 Championship. Henry competed in our 2024 Sholarship and as a result of finishing in 2nd place he will undertake an extensive testing programme using one of our highly competitive ST240 Fiesta race cars. He will then compete in a number of race weekends.
At the age of eight, Henry began his motorsport career in indoor karting. It wasn't until 2022 that he graduated to outdoor owner karts and began to demonstrate good speed at Fulbeck in the Junior and later Senior Rotax classes. He also competed in Junior Rotax races at Tattershall, where he earned his maiden podium and first win. He then decided to enter our scholarship and a top 10 finish aided his decision to take the step up to car racing, the end of the 2023 season saw him compete in his first ever car race in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship.
Henry then competed in our 2024 scholarship and was very successful, this has lead to him upgrading his license and taking on the senior championship.
Henry is keen to get behind the wheel and said “I am really pleased to be staying with such a fabulous team and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together this year”
Team principal, Jamie Going added “I am excited for Henry stepping up into seniors this season after him doing so well in our recent scholarship, I really wanted to continue working with Henry and after a discussion with them we decided Fiesta ST240 was the way to go. I am really looking forward to watching him step up into a more powerful car against more experienced competitors. In testing Henry has shown great pace and shown progression each time.”
