2023 Scholarship Round Up
Here’s a summary of our 2023 Scholarship and how it went…
We had 40 entries for the scholarship which we we’re absolutely blown away with considering it’s just our second year.
Stage one was split across two days and after many meetings we were able to announce that the BRSCC had very kindly agreed to give every single one of this year’s participants a free registration to the championship, as well as a free entry to a round of their choice! We then began with the action-packed timetable which consisted of, social media training, general knowledge presentation and quiz and assessments in fitness, in car and simulators.
We then chose 10 competitors from each day that were invited back to attend the second stage. This stage was similar to the first, however much more intense. We also swapped out the social media training and general knowledge for interviews and a Tik Tok workshop! This gave us a very good understanding of every driver and their abilities. We were also able to surprise our competitors again by giving them all a voucher kindly provided from the Motorsport School giving all our semi - finalists a discount off their ARDS Test.
Shortly after the second stage our finalists were chosen, and the end of the scholarship was in sight! Yet again at the final we were able to announce more amazing news to our finalists; Jamie had decided that one winner wasn’t enough, and we generated prizes for both second and third place. After a fun yet very nerve-racking day of driving assessments our team were challenged with the decision of picking the winner. Although all our finalists were less than 8 tenths apart, our competitors have been scored throughout every stage and this gave us our winner, joint second place and third place; Congratulations to Maks, Will, Ryan and Archie.
Our scholarship is all about helping young aspiring race drivers make a name for themselves in the world of motorsport and we truly believe we went above and beyond this year for everyone who entered our scholarship.
